Enlarge Text for Easier
Reading
For easier viewing, there are two ways you can enlarge
the text that appears on your monitor, adjusting your browser settings
or changing your computer's default monitor display settings.
Browser Settings:
The size of the text your web browser displays can be made larger (or
smaller) with a few simple keystrokes. The steps below might vary a bit
depending on the version of your browser but they should be close enough
to enable you to figure out what to do.

Internet Explorer - Version 5.x |
- On the menu bar, select the "View" menu
- Select "Text Size"
- " Choose the text size that works best for
you

Netscape Navigator - Version 4.x |
- Choose "Edit" from the menu bar.
- Select "Preferences"
- Open the "Appearance" folder, and click on
"Fonts". From here you can change your "font" and "size" using
pull down menus.
- Click the "OK" button before exiting to put
new preferences into effect.

AOL - Version 4 |
- Double click the "My AOL" icon on the top
menu bar.
- Select "Preferences" in the pull down menu
- Scroll down to the "font" icon on the left
side of the dialog box.
- Use the pull down menus to the right side to
adjust and change the font.

OPERATING SYSTEM DEFAULT SETTINGS
By adjusting the monitor display resolution , you can enlarge (or
reduce) the size of everything that appears on the monitor,
application files, e-mails, icons, web pages, etc. The lower the
resolution, the larger the size. |

Windows 95 and Subsequent Versions |
- Click on the Start button and select Settings
/ Control Panel
- Double click on the "Display" icon
- Click on the "Settings" tab at the top of the
dialogue box
- In the "Display / Screen Area" box below the
monitor image, drag the control lever left towards "Less" so
that the pixel count decreases (e.g., from 1024 by 768 to 800 by
600). The lowest setting is 640 by 400.
- Select "OK". Depending on the version of
Windows, another dialogue box may appear, but it should be
self-explanatory

- Open the Apple Menu
- Select Control Panels
- Select Monitor
- Choose the resolution setting that works best
for you
