Seventh Annual Advanced Prostate Brachytherapy Conference 

 April 2-3, 2004

Conference Description

This is a two-day advanced conference for radiation oncologists, urologists, medical physicists, nurses and dosimetrists interested in the latest developments in the field of prostate brachytherapy.  The conference is focused on all aspects of seed implantation including: quality of life issues, patient selection, treatment results, techniques, dosimetry planning, complications, and quality assurance.

Conference Objectives

Upon completion of this conference, participants will be able to describe the principals of prostate brachytherapy, patient selection, dosimetry planning, complications and practical aspects of prostate brachytherapy.

Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of Swedish Medical Center and Seattle Prostate Institute.  Swedish Medical Center is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Hours

Swedish Medical Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 15 hours in Category 1 towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
